About Us

Cinema Wagon started as an idea that James had while working on his first professional production. Initially, it was just a fun name under which to make no-budget internet content. As people began to associate Cinema Wagon with quality and James as a freelancer, the project morphed into what you see before you today.

Remember when we could still have meetings in person? This is not a photo from one of those meetings.

Remember when we could still have meetings in person? This is not a photo from one of those meetings.

James is the founder of Cinema Wagon.

In his own words,

"I've had a camera in my hand since I was old enough to know what a camera was.

After the realization that I'm not good enough at drawing to be an animator at the age of 15, I poured myself into the arts of cinematography and storytelling. I learned to compose and expose my shots on a Konica Autoreflex TC with 35mm film, 24 exposures at a time, and bluffed my way into a DOP position for the first time at age 17.

The rest is history. Maybe it won't be the kind of history that will be taught in schools, or change society as we know it today, but who cares? I'm doing what I love."

What's a video production company without video production equipment? Our ever-growing equipment-list is featured here. If there's a piece of equipment necessary for a production that isn't on this list, we can rent it for the production as necessary.
